Travis A. Elliott is a highly accomplished attorney based in Springfield, Missouri. He obtained Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Philosophy, both with honors, from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2004. In 2007, he graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law, where he received the prestigious Roscoe Anderson Award for Excellence in Advocacy and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers.
During his time in law school, Travis was heavily involved in the Missouri Environmental Law & Policy Review, eventually becoming the Editor-in-Chief. He authored two notable articles for the publication, titled “Consideration of Cumulative Impacts and a Properly Tiered EA & EIS: A Guarantee for Eighth Circuit Deference to Agency Decision-Making” and “Wuebker v. Wilbur-Ellis Co.” He also gained invaluable experience as a member of various trial teams and worked as a Rule 13 attorney in the Criminal Prosecution Clinic at the Boone County Prosecutor’s Office.
Travis is a licensed attorney in Missouri and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Since completing his legal education, he has been an integral part of our firm and currently holds the position of shareholder.
His legal practice primarily revolves around advising and representing public entities and businesses. He specializes in Labor and Employment law, Local Government matters, Business and Corporate Law, and Commercial Litigation. Additionally, he has shared his expertise by teaching Agricultural Law at Missouri State University.
When not practicing law, Travis resides in Dallas County with his wife and four children. They are actively involved in raising registered Herefords and operating a successful commercial cow-calf operation.
