Ransom A Ellis, III, is from Springfield, Missouri. He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Speech from Texas Christian University in 1971, followed by a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1975. During his time in law school, Ransom had the opportunity to serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Ralph Kennedy, a Member of the National Labor Relations Board.
After completing his education, Ransom joined his father’s firm, focusing primarily on labor and employment law. However, his areas of practice expanded to include providing legal representation to public school districts, private schools, and universities in Missouri. Today, Ransom continues to excel in these two domains.
Ransom holds licenses to practice law in Missouri and Texas. Furthermore, he is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeal for the 8th, 4th, and 5th Circuits, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
